Elizabeth Stacy

Elizabeth holds a Masters degree in Linguistics, with a focus on First Nations languages and language revitalization. She is a Research Coordinator within the Language & Community Engagement Portfolio at the eHealth Strategy Office at UBC. In this role, she is a project manager for an innovative multi-channel education outreach initiative working with the Chinese-speaking and Punjabi-speaking communities in BC. The project aims to empower community members to participate in effective self-management, self-care, and prevention of chronic diseases so as to live full and healthy lives.

Elizabeth is also an auxiliary faculty member at the College of the Rockies where she develops online curriculum for the Aboriginal, Youth, Culture and Language program. Her research interests include community wellness through education with a wider focus on health as social, community, and cultural wellbeing, especially with regard to BC’s multi-cultural and Aboriginal communities.
